As soon as you walk in to A Bakery, you are cloaked in a wonderfully fresh baking aroma and it’s like walking in to a small slice of France.
With its classical French music playing, pale blue-gray walls, and tan seating accented with greenery lit mostly by natural lighting, its inviting atmosphere makes you want to pull out a good book while enjoying a freshly made French classic. Each pastry is hand made by owner Catherine Kang daily with the freshest ingredients to guarantee satisfaction which leaves you craving more after every bite.
Catherine is a pastry chef from Salt Lake City, Utah where she worked as a baker at Les Madeleines Patisserie Café, a French café specializing in all things French. After plenty of research, in January of 2017, she decided to bring her delicious talent to McKinney to give the citizens of McKinney a true taste of French cuisine. McKinney seemed to have all the right things to allow her business dreams to come true, and now she works hard every day to bring her creativity to life through the freshest tasting treats to all who wish to enter her slice of France.
A Bakery offers many French inspired pastries that will leave you wanting more. Here are some of their top favorites:
Koughin Aman (pronounced “Queen-Aman”) which is a caramelized croissant. It’s a perfect combination of crunchy sweetness and doughy goodness.
Lemon Tart which is a personal sized, perfectly toasted meringue topped lemon cream perfectly cupped in a pâte sablée crust.
Chocolate raspberry mousse
Macaroons (Coconut, strawberry cream, chocolate, and caramel)
And so much more…
Additionally to A Bakery serving pastries, they have a variety of breakfast and lunch options from Belgium waffles to croissant sandwiches and Paninis to soups and salads. All Panini and sandwich bread are also made fresh daily from scratch my Catherine and her team. They also serve a specialty drink menu of many café favorites, so feel free to order a drink to enjoy with any pastry or meal which is perfectly coordinated with whatever you may choose.
A Bakery can also bring the goodies to you through their catering services. They cater office parties, showers, birthdays, and so much more.
