Hamburgers and milkshakes, an American classic and one of my favorite summer time meals. So where’s one of my top places to indulge in this classic? MOOYAH Burgers, Fries and Shakes of course! McKinney is lucky enough to have two MOOYAH locations but my most recent visit took Cassie, myself and our kids to the MOOYAH off Custer and 380.
This MOOYAH has been around for 8 years and is also one of the busiest locations in the nation! It’s not hard to see why though. The owner, Bobbi, is a wonderful host who greets every customer with a huge smile and the staff is treating you like you’re at a 5 star restaurant. Bobbi and her team also love to be involved in the community and host fundraising nights. This year they’ve already raised over $1,000 for McKinney and Frisco schools. But enough about the amazing staff, let’s talk food!
Now I know burger chains can get a bad rap for not being authentic enough but I’m telling you, you need to try out MOOYAH if you haven’t already. To start, the buns are made fresh daily in house and they are delish! Like so good I could just eat the bun (more like buns) as my meal. And the combo choices are great mash-ups. I myself had the Cheddar Bacon Burger which is still making my mouth water. Cassie went the healthier route and had the MOOYAH Cheeseburger with a lettuce bun. Both our burgers were juicy and flavorful and everything you could hope for in a burger. And not to be overlooked- the fries. Cassie and I were big fans of the sweet potato fries, very good! The plain and chili cheese fries were also yummy and worth a try.
So I think I’ve made it clear that the burgers are great, but if burgers aren’t your style MOOYAH has some options for you as well. Chili cheese dog, chicken club, turkey burger and loaded house salad to name a few. And for you gluten free diners, MOOYAH has gluten free buns as well.
After stuffing our faces with all these delicious options it was only natural to have dessert, milkshake that is. Since it’s the MOOYAH Summer of Shake Love we had to indulge. We’re talking strawberry banana, chocolate mint, M&M, chocolate, Reese’s and cookie dough- good thing we had our kids with us to help us try them all! MOOYAH shakes are so creamy, thick and full of flavor. You can’t go wrong with any option!
So in short, visit MOOYAH. Dine solo or with the whole fam (and no, you won’t be the only one with crazy kids). You’ll walk out satisfied and full. And tell Bobbi we said hi!
