Bike the Bricks @ Downtown McKinney
Race into Memorial Day weekend during the 9th annual Bike the Bricks. Spectators will have front-row seats as more than 500 cyclist from around the globe take to the bricks and tight turns of Historic Downtown McKinney. Bike the Bricks, presented by the City of McKinney and McKinney Velo, has grown into the largest one-day cycling race in Texas and features nail-biting closed course interval races, food, craft beer, festivities and a purse worth more than $25,000. Live music will play simultaneously during the criterium races on the Deep Ellum Brewing Company stage featuring headliner The Texas Gentlemen at 9 pm. Those in attendance can also enjoy craft beer, festival foods and gourmet food trucks! Kids activities include a mobile game truck, rock climbing wall, face painting, and more.

McKinney Race to Brunch 5k @ Myers Park & Event Center
The Race to Brunch 5k Presented by Prestige Community Credit Union kicks off the festivities at the Yellow Wood Music & Outdoors Festival. Runners will receive a Race to Brunch 5k T-Shirt, Brunch Swag Bag and Medal. At the finish line will be live music, beer, mimosas, brunch cuisine, 50+ artisans and boutiques and of course all the festivities that come along with the Yellow Wood Music & Outdoors Festival. The Yellow Wood Music & Outdoors Festival presented by Prestige Community Credit Union is all about great music and the great outdoors. There will be 6 bands playing throughout the day! Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and jam out at the amphitheater. The event will also feature all types of recreation & learning classes. Some classes include goat yoga, flower pressing, first aid survival, mixology class, paddle boarding, fire starting and so many others! Yellow Wood is partnering with local restaurants, TUPPS Brewery and Caudalie Crest Winery to bring you a taste of North Texas! There's something delicious for everyone to enjoy! And last but not least, there will be over 50 artisans featured at the festival! From wood work to handmade jewelry and everything in between.
