Did you ever wish there was a large outdoor festival in McKinney, one that included great music and a variety of events to get you at one with nature? Well look no further than the upcoming 1st annual Yellow Wood Music & Outdoor Festival. Kick off Memorial Day weekend at Yellow Wood, sponsored by Prestige Community Credit Union and benefiting The Warrior's Keep, a non-profit organization whose mission is to unite Veterans and increase their quality of life, through engaging in outdoor recreations and excursions.
This free and family friendly festival is happening over at Myers Park and includes a day full of recreational fun along with fitness and outdoor survival classes. We’re talking flag football, goat yoga, Barre3, knife skills and a wild edibles walk just to name a few… and yes, all the classes listed below are free!
Now if learning on a Saturday isn’t your style and the thought of putting on that gym gear disgusts you then you can sit back and relax with a drink in your hand while listening to a variety of local artists playing all day. Beers are from TUPPS Brewery and wine is from Caudalie Crest Winery, they won’t disappoint! And if you feel like making it really interesting try Fire Starting 101 with a beer in hand (you didn’t get that idea from us!). Of course there will also be a handful of local restaurants and food trucks all day as well.
