Wetland Canoe Trail @ Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary
Experience the amazing diversity in wetland vegetation and wildlife while learning about the history and basics of wetland ecology. After a safety and canoeing introduction, spend about 40 minutes on a guided trail around the Heard wetlands, followed by free paddle time to explore on your own. Pre-registration required. Ages 7+
Dive and Wine Tasting @ Fair and Square Imports
Join us at Fair and Square Imports in Downtown McKinney for a Divine & Wine Event exclusively for Eat, Drink & Be McKinney readers! Stop by, come and-go for a complimentary chocolate & wine tasting. Sample wines from McKinney Wine Merchant paired with chocolate from Divine, made in Germany with fair trade cocoa grown in Ghana.
Juried Art Show Reception and Awards @ McKinney Performing Arts Center
Artists from all over Texas submit work for cash prizes and the chance to have their piece hung in the historic MPAC halls. The opening and awards event is this Saturday, and the show will be available to view through April 22. Wine and hors-d'oeuvres will be provided at the event. More details here.
