Thousands move to McKinney each year. But despite the housing boom there has always been a lack of commercial to support our growth. Well that looks to be changing in 2018! Here are some much needed developments and openings coming our way:
Victory at Stonebridge- 380 and Stonebridge
This one we're really excited about! This new shopping center that will include a Fuzzy’s Tacos, E.J. Wills GastroPub (voted best burger 2017 at their Dallas location) and McKinney Coffee Co to name a few. Restaurants will start opening within the next couple months.
380 Commons at Headington Heights- corner of 380 and Hardin
Major shopping center with retail anchors like Costco, Hobby Lobby and TJ Maxx. New national burger chain Burgerim and local chain Dillas Quesadillas will also be opening locations later this year.
Southgate- mixed use development on the corner of 75 and 121 (next to the Sheraton)
The developers of Legacy West (yes that’s right, the brand new gorgeous and massive development of restaurants, retail and offices that towers over DNT) are coming to McKinney to build our own version of Legacy. The development will include office space, apartments, retail and restaurant buildings and a commons area with two acres of green space, water features, outdoor dining and a stage for performances. This project has been in the works for years now but last year major decisions were made, so hopefully this year they will break ground!
Hub 121- Craig Ranch
The always growing Craig Ranch has big plans in store! Hub 121 will be 60,000 square feet of urban housing, offices, a hospitality component, a pavilion area, and a performance stage for live music and family movie nights. Ground will break this year and we can’t wait for this fun development!
El Corazon de Tejas- Tex-Mex restaurant opening off 75 and White
This Oak Cliff staple is relocating to McKinney and from the looks of the new sign up and front patio being built, I’d say we’ll be enjoying this restaurant in the coming months.
The Donut Kitchen
Second location set to open in downtown McKinney early Fall. If you haven’t been to their location on Virginia across from Adriatic you’re missing out!
The Yard- downtown Mckinney
Cadillac Pizza Pub owners bought the old Cafe Malaga house and have plans to turn it into an ice house. The large outdoor yard/patio area will be a huge draw and great for relaxing with a drink in your hand. Was set to open in 2017, so fingers crossed The Yard will be ready by the time patio weather comes around!
Foxiis Restaurant and Grill- downtown McKinney
This sports bar and grill is set to open its second location in downtown McKinney close to the new Comedy Arena. The first location is in Murphy. Looking forward to catching some games here!
