Christmas Break is upon us and that means kids at home and relatives in town. No one wants to be stuck at home all day together so here's a list of things going on during the break and places to try out. Holidays at the Heard brings the beauty of the holiday season into nature. Guests will see lights and holiday décor along a half mile Heard nature trail. McKinney Repertory Theatre presents: A Christmas Carol @ MPAC

Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" tells the story of Ebeneezer Scrooge, an old man who transforms his miserly ways after four ghostly visits one Christmas Eve. Showings at the McKinney Performing Arts Center in Historic Downtown McKinney. Purchase tickets here.
Zip Line Day @ Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary
Dec 16 @ 1-4pm
Guests climb a 23ft tree to the zip platform then proceed to a 487ft zip line. Purchase one ticket ($12 each) for each time you would like to travel down the zip line. Pre-registration is required for all ropes course programs. More information here.
Christmas with Texas Mosaix @ The Sanctuary Music & Events

Enjoy a night of Christmas music by the talented Texas Mosaix cover band. There will be a 4 pm and 7 pm show. All ticket sales will go toward the local non-profit Oak Creek Place, a home for girls who have timed out of the foster care program. More details here.

Christmas from the Sanctuary is a special family friendly concert event featuring an evening of Christmas Spirit. Doors open at 6:30pm, Music begins at 7:00pm The concert features Maylee Thomas Andy Timmons Official Page, Mayor George Fuller, & Gerry Fisher performing songs from Maylee and Andy's Christmas album "Here Comes the Son".
